Mari Ataneli
- Hello.
- Could you please briefly introduce yourself and your work?
- I am Mariam, a modern dance dancer and choreographer.
Currently, my project is presented here.
- Could you tell us more about this direction?
- It’s video art combined with a live installation
The video captures a performance, and the rope installation here represents a visual continuation of that movement.
It’s an exploration of human interaction with boundaries.
The performance shows how we build cages around ourselves and try to break free.
- It looks very impressive and deeply emotional.
- Thank you. The main goal was to make the viewer feel this space.
To see how a body can transform under pressure or restriction.
- Where else has this project been exhibited?
- We first showed a version of it in Europe, at a festival.
But this particular format, with the live constructive element, is premiered here.
- What are your upcoming plans?
- I want to expand this concept into a full-length theatrical performance.
Where dance, digital art, and architecture closely intertwine.
- Thank you so much for the interview and good luck!
- Thank you.
